All-on-4 and All-on-6 are full-arch implant concepts: a complete fixed bridge for one jaw supported by four or six implants. More implants is not automatically better. The treating surgeon chooses the number and position of implants from your bone volume, bite and 3D imaging, and explains why. Treatment usually involves a temporary bridge first and a final bridge after healing.
Who full-arch treatment is generally considered for
People who have lost most or all teeth in a jaw, or whose remaining teeth are failing, and who want a fixed rather than removable solution. Suitability depends on bone, general health, medication, smoking and your ability to maintain the bridge. Only the treating clinician can confirm suitability for you.
One jaw or both
Upper and lower jaws are planned and quoted separately. A quote must state clearly whether it covers one arch or both, and the implant count per arch. Treating both jaws increases surgical time, recovery demands and cost, and may change the number of trips.
What “included” must mean for full-arch quotes
- Number of implants per arch and the implant system.
- Temporary (provisional) bridge: included or not, material, and how long you wear it.
- Final bridge: material (for example acrylic-composite, zirconia or hybrid), and when it is fitted.
- Extractions, bone work and any sinus procedures, if needed.
- Number of trips and nights per trip, transfers and accommodation.
- Exclusions, taxes and fees.
Visits and timeline
A typical pattern is a first surgical trip for extractions, implant placement and a temporary bridge, then a healing period set by the surgeon, then a second trip for the final bridge. Surgical dental trips generally require four to five nights, according to the treating surgeon. Some clinics offer alternatives to this pattern; ask what conditions apply and what happens if healing is slower than expected.
Maintenance and aftercare
A fixed full-arch bridge needs daily cleaning under the bridge and regular professional reviews. Components can wear or loosen over time, and the bridge may need adjustment or repair. Risks
As with any implant surgery: infection, implant failure, nerve or sinus involvement, bite problems and fracture or wear of the bridge. Swelling and bruising after surgery are common. Smoking and uncontrolled medical conditions raise the risk. A clinician who lists these plainly is doing their job.

Why four implants rather than six, or the reverse?
The answer should refer to your bone volume, bite and imaging. If it refers only to price or to a package name, ask again.
Will I leave Antalya with a fixed bridge?
Usually a temporary bridge, with the final bridge fitted on a later trip after healing. Ask what the temporary bridge is made of and how to care for it.
What is the final bridge made of, and is it in the quote?
Materials differ in strength, appearance and cost. The final bridge material and its timing must be in writing.
What happens if an implant does not integrate?
